Google Adds More Security To Gmail
Google Continues To Add Security Updates
Last month, we covered Google’s new encryption improvements. And, as google continues to add security updates, you can be sure that we’ll keep you up to date on their latest improvements!
That said, yesterday Google updated their security page, “Today, we’re adding to that list the alpha version of a new tool. It’s called End-to-End and it’s a Chrome extension intended for users who need additional security beyond what we already provide.”
What does this mean for you??
Essentially, to give your emails some added security, you can send them in an encrypted format for your recipient to decrypt. While there are already tools that allow for easy decryption, Google’s new chrome extension, OpenPGP, will make it even easier to decrypt emails for those without the technical know-how.
