Connect AI agents to DirectIQ with MCP

The Model Context Protocol (MCP) lets AI tools interact with DirectIQ programmatically. Manage campaigns, sync contacts, and pull analytics — all from your favorite MCP-compatible client.

Connection details

To connect your MCP client to DirectIQ, you need two things: the server URL and your API key.

Server URL

https://mcp.directiq.com/mcp

Authentication

Pass your API key in the x-api-key request header.

Finding your API key

  1. Log in to your DirectIQ dashboard
  2. Navigate to Settings → API Keys
  3. Copy your existing API key or generate a new one

Configuration

Add the following configuration to your MCP client. This works with Claude Desktop, Cursor, VS Code, and any other MCP-compatible tool.

mcp-config.json
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "directiq": {
      "url": "https://mcp.directiq.com/mcp",
      "headers": {
        "x-api-key": "YOUR_API_KEY"
      }
    }
  }
}

Setup steps

  1. Copy the JSON configuration above
  2. Replace YOUR_API_KEY with your actual API key from the DirectIQ dashboard
  3. Add it to your MCP client's server configuration file
  4. Restart your MCP client to connect
